Hyundai is continuing to bring new thinking and new possibilities to the
Australian market, announcing the company’s exciting new product plans
for 2011.
Under the company’s new global brand line ‘New Thinking. New
Possibilities.’, which encapsulates Hyundai’s concept of ‘Modern
Premium’. Hyundai has confirmed it will launch four all-new vehicles
which encapsulate the spirit of premium quality design, features and
value – all in the second half of 2011.
Codenamed MD, the all-new Elantra is a compact sedan which completes the
company’s line-up in the small segment. The Elantra showcases Hyundai’s
capabilities, including modern design, advanced safety technologies and
outstanding quality. The new Elantra is planned to go on sale in
Australia in the third quarter of 2011.

The exciting all-new Hyundai Accent is a four-door sedan which will
complement the company’s successful i20 hatch in the Light car segment.
The Accent combines sleek good looks, advanced technology and leading
safety attributes, and tops it all off with a robust, sporting
character. The new Accent is planned to go on sale in AUstralia before
the end of the third quarter of 2011.
Launched at the Geneva motor show in March 2011, the stylish new i40
wagon was designed and engineered in Rüsselsheim, Germany to meet with
European tastes. i40’s exterior stands out for its seamless form and
distinctive graphic elements, while the interior design focuses on the
sculptural and ergonomically optimised integration of its functions. The
new i40 wagon has now been confirmed for the Australian market and will
go on sale in late 2011.
Finally, the stunning and daring Veloster. Unveiled this week in
Australia and challenging conventional coupe design, Veloster brings a
new design perspective, combining agility, convenience and aesthetics.
Veloster delivers innovation with a unique third door for easy rear-seat
access, a new 1.6-litre direct-injected four-cylinder engine mated to a
six-speed manual or a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The
new Veloster is expected to land in Australia before the end of 2011.
Pricing and specifications for the all-new Elantra, Accent, i40 and
Veloster models will be available at the time of their respective
launches.
