Hyundai i20 ArtCar

Commissioned by Hyundai Motor Company Australia to paint an all-new i20 and matching wall mural, local Sydney artists Beastman & Numskull created the vibrant work over three days in an underground workspace in Sydney. Using aerosol paint only, the collaboration of the two distinct styles sees bright colours and organic patterns illustrate nature morphing with an exciting urban lifestyle.  

The premise of the work reflects the bright, youthful lifestyle depicted the within the ‘Going Places’ marketing campaign used to launch i20 onto the Australian market in July 2010. The signature ‘eye’ graphic from the artist represents the ‘i’ in i20.

The two artists, with divergent backgrounds, brought together their experiences of youth culture, music, skate-lifestyle, comic and graffiti-art to create an engaging work.
